Eat

Giada at The Cromwell - I really, really love Giada DeLaurentiis’ namesake restaurant, Giada. I love that it doesn't feel like Vegas - more like L.A., with a great view of Bellagio's fountains. Everything is branded with a ‘G’ or Giada’s signature. Get the orzo meatballs, fresh ricotta crostini, and rigatoni with vegetable bolognese. And you can't miss the lemon ricotta cookies.

SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas - In general, I can eat maybe three bites of steak. It's great here, but so are all the sides...and you get to enjoy/laugh at the kind-of-fun/bizarre fountain show. And Nora Ephron loved it

Beauty & Essex at The Cosmopolitan

Lotus of Siam

Wazuzu at Encore

Visit:

Neon Museum - Book ahead for one of the hour-long tours (you can't visit on your own)! They collect and preserve iconic Las Vegas signs, and tell the stories behind them. Save time for the cool gift shop.

Container Park

El Cortez Hotel & Casino - feels like a time machine to old-school Vegas (but not dirty and outdated).

Stay:

The Bellagio - I just don't feel comfortable staying anywhere else in Vegas anymore. The Bellagio isn't the newest, grandest, or most over-the-top hotel in Vegas anymore, but to me, it is the perfect Vegas hotel.
